NPH SAT Fundraiser Course

Donating raised funds to Breast Cancer Hub with founder Dr. Lopamudra Das Roy (left) and NC MedAssist with CEO Lori Giang and Pharmacy Manager Dustin Allen (right).

When we as a team sat down together to discuss how we could contribute toward making an impact in the field of healthcare, we knew we had to support the nonprofit organizations in the community making strides in improving healthcare access locally and globally. Thus, we partnered with Breast Cancer Hub, an organization with a mission to increase cancer awareness and early detection and resource access throughout the world, and NC MedAssist, an organization providing free medications to those in need in North Carolina.

Our team members Madhura Manjunath, Sarayu Thondapu, and Lyn Dias (not pictured) fully initiated, designed, and taught a virtual 5-week SAT prep-course over the summer of 2021 to help students prepare for upcoming SAT exams. Including test taking strategies, subject-based lessons, and overviews of practice tests that helped them in their own journeys with the exam, they aimed to make SAT tutoring more accessible and affordable for others.

Teaching the SAT Course, the team raised $600 in total, which was donated in entirety to both Breast Cancer Hub and NC MedAssist.

We are so grateful to have partnered with these amazing nonprofit organizations.
